Seek Adventure Travel Happy
A lot of my posts lately have been focused on travel tips, but I think one of the most important things to do in life (besides traveling) is to find your bliss. For me, obviously it's traveling. That's part of the reason I started this blog. At this point in my life, I can't be traveling constantly. I have a regular 9-5 job which helps me afford to take trips when I can which I am very thankful for. But until I can be traveling all the time and being paid to do it, I do this.
I live vicariously through helping others take the trips of their dreams, hearing about amazing trips that others have taken, discovering new places to go, ways to get there, and other ways to live life to the fullest. My dream is to someday make this little hobby of mine into a career where I get to travel for a living and help others find ways to as well. It may not happen, but I know with 100% certainty that it wont if I don't try.
That is true for all dreams. I think many people are so entrenched in their daily lives and plagued by the necessity to be practical that they fear taking chances. Perhaps you've always wanted to open a bakery, move to France, climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. Whatever your dream is, make a promise to yourself that you're going to give it a go. And not a half hearted try either. And you know the half hearted try I'm talking about. Like the last time you thought, "maybe I should train for a marathon" and you got up early one day, ran, and then never did it again.
Pick the one thing that you've always wanted to do. Then plan your work and then work your plan. Figure out everything standing in your way and then build a bridge over those obstacles. We only have one life, let's promise ourselves to make the most of it, and let's start making the most of it today. And while you're busy making your dreams come true, never miss an opportunity to help someone else's dreams come true too. You never know when your skills or expertise may be the exact ingredient that someone is missing.
So go out there, FIND YOUR BLISS! Help someone else find there's. A quote from the movie Vanilla Sky kind of sums it up "Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around".
Hi there! I'm Skeeter. I grew up moving a lot and that makes me a bit restless for travel and exploration. I started this blog with my husband Pat when we decided to backpack New Zealand for a year. We are always looking for the next adventure and are loving life. We're just your average couple with two sassy dogs and a love for travel. We're sharing our travels and the tips we pick up along the way.
Hello! I'm Liz. Blogging is very new to me, but I'm so excited to finally write as much as I talk!
