So Pat and I are in the process of setting up a bank account, so that I can get paid, and so that we can pay our rent in a form other than cash every two weeks. But, unlike in the US, you can't just walk into a bank and give them all your money in exchange for a little pastic card. We tried that, but they said we needed to make an appointment and come back. We then had to reschedule because I got called into work. So today is round two. Maybe if we are lucky we can convice them to keep all of our money for us. Pat and I are also getting into cooking lately. A month of cooking in the van has made us realize how much we love cooking in the kitchen. Last night Pat grilled up some fish, and some home made sweet potato fries, and I made rasberry white chocolate scones. The scones turned out better than I thought they would, and Pat's fish was the best in the world, he will gladly tell you, as he has me, that the fish was delicious, and no one has ever had fish that good. This is funny because up until last night Pat didn't really like to eat fish, but now he loves it, and proudly reminds me how delicious dinner was last night. Tonight I am going to make some homemade tortillas, and I am currenty trying to talk Pat into making some more fish, although if it is as good or better than last night, I will never hear the end of how great Pat is at grilling fish. But that may be a sacrifice I am willing to make. The job is going very well. It is pretty easy and straight forward, and everyone has been really nice. I'm getting better at making fancy coffee drinks, and I serve champagne to people lounging in hot tubs. Nothing to difficult with that I guess. Well we better head off to the bank, I'd hate to be late and have them tell us that they still do not want our money.
Hi there! I'm Skeeter. I grew up moving a lot and that makes me a bit restless for travel and exploration. I started this blog with my husband Pat when we decided to backpack New Zealand for a year. We are always looking for the next adventure and are loving life. We're just your average couple with two sassy dogs and a love for travel. We're sharing our travels and the tips we pick up along the way.
Hello! I'm Liz. Blogging is very new to me, but I'm so excited to finally write as much as I talk!
