This has been a fun and eventful week. Pat and I went out with some friends to celebrate Guy Fawkes Night. The Whitianga Fire Brigade put on fireworks and a bonfire for the celbration which was fun. We then went to a friends house for a going away party for us. We've made some great friends here and they will be missed. I also finished my last day of work and we are making plans for our the next part of our trip. In a couple of days we'll be heading to Raglan which is a big surfing spot here in NZ, and we're hoping to catch a couple of waves. Pat's been continuing his 5K workout, and has beaten it and is working on a 10K. He ran 7.5 the other day. He's been running barefoot on the beach, and loves it except for some natural downfalls like the occassional piece of jagged seashell, and yesterday he stepped on a bee. But he still insists that it's the only way to run. The weather has been wicked and we've been working hard on our tans. It's hard work, but someones' gotta do it!
Hi there! I'm Skeeter. I grew up moving a lot and that makes me a bit restless for travel and exploration. I started this blog with my husband Pat when we decided to backpack New Zealand for a year. We are always looking for the next adventure and are loving life. We're just your average couple with two sassy dogs and a love for travel. We're sharing our travels and the tips we pick up along the way.
Hello! I'm Liz. Blogging is very new to me, but I'm so excited to finally write as much as I talk!
