Seek Adventure Travel Happy
Happy Friday, everyone!
So Skeeter usually does the travel deals. She's pretty good at finding the good ones. But I'm here today telling you about a couple of places I've been wanting to visit! Although we do put these deals up in order for you to take advantage of them, we're also just trying to give you ideas of possible travel destinations you might not have considered before.
I went to a Broadway play last night, 'Once' (amazing by the way), and one of the characters was a Czech girl. It got me thinking about how - for the last 10 years - I've been wanting to visit the Czech Republic. So here's an awesome deal I found for Prague on skyscanner.com.
Go from New York City to Prague on Friday, November 14th through Tuesday, November 26th for $696 on Aeroflot airlines.
Visit the historical capital of Bohemia founded in the late 9th century! Prague is home to ten major museums, theaters, galleries, cinemas, and historical exhibits. It holds a lot of cultural history that fortunately survived the wars of the 20th century. So go visit those beautiful castles and cathedrals built in the Gothic and Renaissance eras.
Working at a hostel in Nashville, TN we get a lot of travelers that are coming from or going to New Orleans - a city I have yet to visit! I have never heard a guest complain about their trip there. All they talk about is the food, the music, the culture - just how alive the city is. I'm going to have to make a drive down, but for some of you that may be a bit farther away, how about flying there sometime soon?!
On kayak.com I found a flight leaving Salt Lake City on Wednesday, October 15th and returning from New Orleans on Saturday, October 21st for only $285 with American Airlines!
In October you can expect an average high in the 70s and low in the 50s. It is also the month with the least precipitation - pretty great weather if you ask me!
ALSO, every weekend in October you can enjoy a piece of Germany in the heart of New Orleans at the Deutsches Haus in Mid City and celebrate Oktoberfest! Yes, it's that time.
Go enjoy that good Southern food, listen to some amazing jazz and blues, visit the historic French Quarter, and - from what I hear - check out the amazing art that makes this city and culture so captivating to tourists.
Writing this makes me wonder what I'm waiting for?!
Hi there! I'm Skeeter. I grew up moving a lot and that makes me a bit restless for travel and exploration. I started this blog with my husband Pat when we decided to backpack New Zealand for a year. We are always looking for the next adventure and are loving life. We're just your average couple with two sassy dogs and a love for travel. We're sharing our travels and the tips we pick up along the way.
Hello! I'm Liz. Blogging is very new to me, but I'm so excited to finally write as much as I talk!
